SYNOPSIS
This reimagined followup to the blockbuster action pic takes us to the dangerous waves and wild ways of Indonesia, where a mask-wearing gang is robbing container ships. Noting the similarity to the “Dead Presidents” case decades earlier, FBI special agent John McCoy decides to infiltrate the local surf culture, tapping troubled pro Billy Dalton’s board skills and insider knowledge. Hitting the exotic beaches of Indo, they meet beautiful Teela, her menacing brother Dali, and his crew, who challenge the duo to deadly extreme-sports competitions. Along the way, severed fingers, stolen antibiotics, nighttime raids, and plenty of massive waves draw Billy and McCoy inexorably to the true identities of the “Bush Administration” bandits—and towards their own destinies. This dazzling, thrilling adventure is destined to knock fans of the original “Point Break” right off their boards.
